Teva are proud to be one of the sponsors of the Scottish Allergy and Respiratory Academy (SARA). SARA are based at the University of Edinburgh and provide respiratory education for healthcare professionals, researchers, students and professionals working in fields related to respiratory and allergic disorders, such as the food industry.

Currently, SARA are establishing an extensive portfolio of education and training and so far, they offer approximately three courses a year to healthcare professionals. These core courses focus on three main conditions: asthma, allergy and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). They have also organised three education events, so far, on managing asthma or COPD.

Their hard work doesn’t stop there! They also work with relevant partners to develop widely accessible resources for a variety of national audiences. These resources include: face-to-face and online courses, webcasts and webinars. SARA intends to attract international audiences by holding annual high-profile events on specific topics within the allergy, asthma and COPD fields.

So, how are Teva involved?

Well, as a sponsor, Teva has committed to providing donations over the next three years, helping to support the management and staffing of SARA. We now have access to an exhibition space at certain SARA training events, allowing Teva to become heavily involved in all of the great work happening at these events. SARA also provide Teva with the opportunity to sponsor internationally renowned speakers at their high profile events. Through sponsorships such as this, Teva are able to contribute towards the amazing work of these organisations, supporting them in meeting their goals and objectives to ultimately improve the lives of patients.

Head to the SARA website where you can and find out more about their latest news, events and resources available.
