Teva UK is proud to have been named ‘UK Generics Manufacturer of the Year’ for the 18th year in a row at the 2020 Pharmacy Business Awards by readers of Pharmacy Business magazine. The Pharmacy Business Awards showcase the best community pharmacy has to offer, and were held virtually for the first time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Graham Philipps, winner of Public Health Pharmacist of the Year Award

Pharmacy has been at the forefront of delivering healthcare to local communities during these challenging times, showing great resilience in their commitment to patients. It’s one of the reasons why Teva were proud to sponsor the Public Health Pharmacist of the Year Award. The award recognises the pharmacist who has excelled in 2020 by providing outstanding public health services and enhanced patient care in the community. Colm Magee, Senior Director of Generics for Teva UK presented the award, which was won by Graham Philipps of Manor Pharmacy in St Albans who was commended for his efforts in improving the health and wellbeing of his patients through an innovative, personalised lifestyle approach.

“2020 has been a defining year for pharmacy, and we’re proud to take part in the Pharmacy Business Awards to help shine a light on the incredible contributions of pharmacists and their teams up and down the country”

Robyn Hughes, Senior Director Commercial for Teva UK

“To be awarded Generics Manufacturer of the Year for the 18th year in a row is an unprecedented achievement for Teva, and we’re really proud of the positive relationship we’ve built up with pharmacy over the years. We’re looking forward to going from strength to strength in 2021.”

In 2020 Teva took specific steps to support our pharmacy partners, such as bringing forward rebate payments to help their cashflow, and supplying pharmacy support packages and resources to support the great work they were doing across the country as part of their response to COVID-19. Throughout the next 12 months Teva’s pharmacy team will be continuing to provide support and help to pharmacy where needed, including continuing to embed their e-commerce platform offering, alongside complementary digital initiatives such as Let’s Talk Respiratory and Life Effects.
